Speaking about the design, this smartwatch looks impressive with a fully rugged design, providing a strong and sporty appearance. The flat circular dial has a metallic circular border that adds a rich aesthetic.

Other parts of the watch are constructed from robust plastic, giving it a sturdy feel. There are two buttons on the side – the upper button functions as the back button of your smartwatch, and the lower button serves as a shortcut to go to the sports mode.

Additionally, the smartwatch houses a built-in speaker and microphone that facilitate Bluetooth calling. The back panel boasts the SpO2 and heart rate sensors, which we will discuss in the later section.

The strap is 23mm wide and made of soft, durable materials. We found the strap to be very comfortable to wear, and its sporty look enhances the overall appearance of the smartwatch.

Comparing the appearance, the Fire Boltt Armour smartwatch resembles the Fire Boltt Sphere launched a few months back. However, the key difference is that the Fire Boltt Sphere was slightly more expensive than this model.

The highlighting feature of both smartwatches is the 600mAh battery, which is present in this watch as well. If you already own a Fire Boltt Sphere, there’s nothing new for you in this watch. However, if you’re in search of a sturdy and efficient smartwatch under a Rs. 1500 budget, then this watch is a viable option.

Overall, we appreciate the design and build quality of this smartwatch. Fire Boltt has incorporated everything in this watch that budget smartwatch seekers would love.

The Fire Boltt Armour smartwatch features a 1.6-inch round dial HD display that looks premium and sizable. It’s important to note that this display may not be suitable for individuals with thin wrists, as the giant display is more fitting for those with larger wrists.

The visibility of this watch is excellent, thanks to its 600 nits peak brightness. With a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels, the display provides ample clarity for its screen size. The peak resolution enhances overall screen performance, and no pixelation issues are detected.

You can comfortably use this smartwatch both indoors and outdoors without experiencing any visibility problems. The watch also allows you to add custom watch faces with excellent color accuracy and contrasts, adding a personal touch to your device.

UI and Features

Talking about the UI of the Fire Boltt Armour smartwatch, it boasts a simple user interface design, ensuring that every user can navigate and access all features with minimal effort.

Swiping down displays options for DND mode, brightness adjustment, phone calls, and settings. Additionally, there is a battery icon indicating the charge availability. Swiping up reveals all notifications on the watch.

Swiping from the right reveals widget shortcuts containing activity, heart rates, SpO2, sleep monitor, phone calls, weather forecast, etc.

Swiping from the left takes you to the main menu, where you can see all the features of this smartwatch. The first feature you will encounter is sports modes, which includes 20+ sports modes for your day-to-day activity tracking.

Other features in the main menu include sports record, today’s activities, telephone, heart rate, sleep monitor, SpO2, blood pressure monitor, breathing mode, alarm, weather, timer, stopwatch, camera control, QR code, and settings.

A unique feature of this watch is the calendar, which is a noteworthy addition. Typically, budget smartwatches don’t include the calendar feature, making this a commendable addition.

Under the settings menu, it provides options for preferences, media control, dial setting, find my phone, night brightness adjustment, language, and shutdown. This section allows you to easily control everything based on your preferences.

This rugged smartwatch is equipped with an IP68 water resistance feature, a valuable addition in this price segment. It also offers a decent battery backup with a 600mAh lithium-ion battery.

While the company claims an 8-day battery life, the actual battery life under normal use conditions is around 6 to 7 days. With the Bluetooth calling option enabled, the battery lasts for 2 to 3 days.

Finally, the overall performance of this smartwatch is smooth. Despite the plethora of features available, it operates seamlessly without lag or hang issues.

Accuracy of Sensors

Upon reviewing the readings of heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, it’s evident that the accuracy is acceptable but not the best. In heart rate monitoring, the difference observed was 4-5 points, and for SpO2 monitoring, the difference was around 2-3 points when compared with the oximeter reading.

Therefore, we advise against relying solely on its readings in serious health conditions where accuracy is crucial. In such circumstances, it is recommended to use certified medical equipment. For normal day-to-day use, the smartwatch is deemed suitable.

Another positive aspect of the Fire Boltt Armour smartwatch is that the sensors don’t display any readings in the air. However, on a hard surface, the sensor may sometimes show health tracking data.

Thus, the sensor is not as reliable as compared to other smartwatches in the market. It’s important to consider these factors when assessing the device’s suitability for health monitoring purposes.

Bluetooth Calling Performance

Despite the sensor’s accuracy limitations, the Fire Boltt Armour smartwatch impresses with its clear calling performance. The built-in speaker and microphone work seamlessly, ensuring a better sound quality experience for both parties. Overall, the calling experience is good, and we are satisfied with its performance in this regard.

Should You Buy Fire Boltt Armour Smartwatch

Now that you have all the information about the Fire Boltt Armour smartwatch, you can make an informed decision on whether to purchase it for 1500 rupees or explore other options in this price range.

Before making your final decision, consider that it is a rugged smartwatch with a sporty look, offered at an affordable price point. If you are in search of a smartwatch with a robust build and a large display, this option is worth considering. However, keep in mind that the big display is more suitable for individuals with thick wrists.

Priced under 1500 rupees, this smartwatch boasts excellent display quality, build quality, and calling quality, making it a perfect choice for anyone seeking a budget-friendly smartwatch.
