Free Online Tools FAQs

  1. Do I need to create an account or sign up?

No. Every tool on this page works the moment you open it; no email, no login, no “create a free account to continue” wall. That’s intentional, not a limitation we’re hiding behind a paywall.

  2. Is it actually safe to upload my photo or signature for an exam form here?

Yes, and here’s the specific reason why: our photo and signature tools process the image entirely inside your own browser using built-in browser technology (the Canvas API). Nothing is uploaded to a server, which means we never see, store, or have access to your file at any point. This is different from many popular “free” compressors that send your image to their servers first; some of those have been caught using uploaded images to train AI models, and the FBI has even warned about free file-processing tools being used to distribute malware. If a tool asks you to “upload” your photo, it’s leaving your device; ours doesn’t.

  3. Does compressing my photo also strip the location data (EXIF/GPS) embedded in it?

Yes, in most cases. Photos taken on smartphones often contain hidden metadata, including the exact GPS coordinates of where they were taken. Because our compressor re-encodes the image from scratch rather than just shrinking the existing file, this metadata is removed in the process, which is an added privacy benefit most people don’t realize they’re getting.

  4. Why do exam photo and signature size requirements vary so much between SSC, UPSC, IBPS, and other exams?

Each exam conducting body sets its own specifications independently. There’s no shared national standard. That’s exactly why our resizer lets you pick your specific exam from a preset list instead of guessing dimensions and KB limits yourself; we keep the specs updated per exam so you don’t have to cross-check the official notification each time.

  5. Will the CGPA to percentage result match what my university actually calculates?

It’ll be accurate for the standard formula (CGPA × 9.5) used by most universities under the UGC framework, but some universities and specific courses use their own conversion multiplier. If your university has published its own official formula, use that number for anything submitted officially. Treat our calculator as a fast, reliable estimate for everyday use, not a substitute for your university’s registrar-issued conversion when it matters for an application.

  6. Does the EMI calculator match exactly what my bank or store will charge me?

It’ll be very close, but not necessarily exact to the rupee. Our calculator uses the standard EMI formula based on principal, interest rate, and tenure – the same math every bank uses. What it doesn’t account for is processing fees, GST on fees, or insurance add-ons some lenders bundle in, since those vary by bank and offer. Use it to compare options and understand your monthly outgo, then confirm the final figure with the lender.

  7. Can I use these tools on my phone, or do I need a laptop?

All of them work on mobile; they’re built to be responsive and don’t need a desktop browser. The photo/signature resizer in particular is often more convenient on mobile since you can select the photo directly from your gallery.

  8. Why don’t you ask me to pay or sign up, when similar tools elsewhere do?

Because these tools run on standard browser technology rather than expensive server infrastructure, there’s very little ongoing cost to us for you to use them, so there’s no real reason to paywall something this simple. We built this page to be genuinely useful, not as a funnel to upsell you into a subscription.

  9. Will compressing my photo reduce its quality too much for an official form?

No, our compressor is built to hit your target file size while preserving visible quality, which matters specifically for ID-style photos where blurring or distortion can get an application rejected. If you ever notice visible quality loss, try our resizer at a slightly higher KB limit if the exam portal allows a range rather than an exact number.
